the bible - for the layman - in lego

i came across this site today.. blew me away!! Not only for the time that it takes for people to do this sort of stuff but that i actually have learnt something of Christianity. Maybe it's another form of brainwashing - these lego guys make it all look so innocent - the killing, the angels, the nailing on the cross. The Plague simply looks like a bad case of pimples.

mister lonely

i went and saw Joan as Policewoman last week - and well... i have to say that I cried. That girl sure can sing a ballad. This live version doesn't do it justice - 'To Be Lonely'..
tears were most probably present due to my recent break up but....whatever...
it obviously had an affect on some other guy - he fainted during it.. i guess loneliness can feel like that sometimes -dropping out of a crowd..

capital same

I had a thought today about a person whose sole ambition to succeed in business is so they don't have to catch public transport into work. Getting into a high position means that you get a parking space. They strive for what some may seem as an unnecessary goal - but pleasures are derived from the simplest things sometimes.

What would happen if everyone was motivated by completely different things? It seems that in a capitalist society we are forced to share the same goals. To seek the same job titles as those around us till we are all CEOs, the same latest mobile phone or mac laptop, the same gadgets, car, house, shoes, vintage clothes, bike, lamp. Maybe tis an extension of the 'belonging' that all humans want.

Categorised levels of success that aren't confined to the corporate world but are shared similarly with the creative world.

A mark of a man. A scarlet woman. A brand of integrity. A brownie badge.

It seems like we are constantly attaching things to ourselves. To boost our pride, our worth, our sense of self.

How trivial and same it all seems sometimes. Can't we all at least have different dreams?
